Shane

I still replay the very first time that we met

An instant connection I could never forget

You’re always stepping up, making sure we're secure

My proactive sweetheart with a love so pure

Whenever I am doubting, you’re the voice in my ear

Encouraging my spirit, wiping away every tear

Shane, you are my best friend, my soulmate, my world

Forever and always, I’m proud to be your girl

We’ve always had each other's backs, through the heavy and light

I'm keeping our fire burning through the lonely nights

I’m holding it down for you, defending our claim

My heart only beats to the sound of your name

We’ve always been the shelter in each other's storm

Even through the distance, your memory keeps me warm

I’m crossing off the pages, just watching the clock

Our loyalty is built on a solid rock

'Cause when you get out, time is gonna stand still

Another moment together, an empty space you will fill

Shane, you are my best friend, my soulmate, my world

Forever and always, I’m proud to be your girl

We’ve always had each other's backs, through the heavy and light

I'm keeping our fire burning through the lonely nights

I’m holding it down for you, defending our claim

My heart only beats to the sound of your name

Every single message, every late-night call

Proves that what we have can survive through it all

I’m waiting for the second that the waiting is done

When my sweetheart comes home and two becomes one

'Cause Shane, you are my best friend, my soulmate, my world

Forever and always, I’m proud to be your girl

We’ve always had each other's backs, through the heavy and light

I'm keeping our fire burning through the lonely nights

I’m holding it down for you, defending our claim

My world only turns to the sound of your name
