Anthony

From Tennessee to Georgia, Tampa to New Orleans

We're sending love to Anthony across the miles between

We used to say "Granddaddy Mr. Tony" back then

But we dropped it to Granddaddy as the years rushed in

From the grands and the great-grands, we're singing out your name

Because the love you give to us has always stayed the same

Happy birthday, Granddaddy, you're the top of the list

Of every single blessing that could ever exist

You are patient, you are tender, caring through and through

The heart knows who belongs in our lives, and it's you

Thinking back to Maryland, with you and Granny there

Turning flips together, throwing laughter in the air

Crawling through the play tube, making up a silly scheme

And Kailee fussing at you 'cause you ate her play ice cream

You just smiled and chuckled, bringing joy to every room

You're the reason that our family has the space to bloom

Happy birthday, Granddaddy, you're the top of the list

Of every single blessing that could ever exist

You are patient, you are tender, caring through and through

The heart knows who belongs in our lives, and it's you

Walking right beside us on the ATV rides

Swimming in the summer with you right by our side

Singing on the karaoke, having a ball

Then Sunday after church, eating at Golden Corral

You love us unconditionally, with everything you do

There is no one in the world who loves us quite like you

Happy birthday, Granddaddy, you're the top of the list

Of every single blessing that could ever exist

You are patient, you are tender, caring through and through

The heart knows who belongs in our lives, and it's you

Yeah, the heart knows who belongs in our lives, and it's you!
