Kris

Two decades down, the time just flew

Through every high and low with you

You've held my hand when skies were gray

And laughed with me in the light of day

Kris, you're the one who stays right here

A steady heart, year after year

So thank you for just being you

Honest, loving, kind, and true

With a giant heart and a steadfast soul

You're the loyal friend who makes me whole

I know wherever this life may guide

You'll be standing right by my side

I think about those sunny lake days

Enjoying nature and the quiet waves

You work so hard, yet you always find

A funny word to ease my mind

Grounded in faith with a unique grace

You bring a light to every place

So thank you for just being you

Honest, loving, kind, and true

With a giant heart and a steadfast soul

You're the loyal friend who makes me whole

I know wherever this life may guide

You'll be standing right by my side

I look forward to the days ahead

When time has turned the hair on our heads

In matching rocking chairs, we'll sit

And smile about the best of it

Reminiscing on the paths we took

And every adventure in our book

So thank you for just being you

Honest, loving, kind, and true

With a giant heart and a steadfast soul

You're the loyal friend who makes me whole

I can't wait to watch the years roll by

With my best friend right by my side
