Sherry

Driving in the dark while the city is asleep

Long talks in the car, diving so deep

In the tender silences, I feel a holy peace

Watching your beautiful smile bring release

You're thoughtful and caring, a gentle, kind soul

With you in the passenger seat, I am whole

You smile through the strife, you carry the light

You love when it's not returned, making it right

With your faith in Jesus, you show me the way

Helping out everyone, day after day

And through all three heartbreaks, my promise is true

Sherry, forever, I still love you

My Mafia princess with a heart full of grace

There is so much compassion wrapped up in your face

When the world is ungrateful, you don't turn away

You just hold onto hope and you quietly pray

You pour out your spirit for those in distress

You are the blessing I get to confess

You smile through the strife, you carry the light

You love when it's not returned, making it right

With your faith in Jesus, you show me the way

Helping out everyone, day after day

And through all three heartbreaks, my promise is true

Sherry, forever, I still love you

Three times the sorrow brought tears to our eyes

Three times we had to look up to the skies

But we held on together, we weathered the pain

Washing our wounds in the heavenly rain

In the quiet of the night, I knew from the start

That nothing could ever untether my heart

'Cause you smile through the strife, you carry the light

You love when it's not returned, making it right

With your faith in Jesus, you show me the way

Helping out everyone, day after day

Through all three heartbreaks, my compass is true

Sherry, forever, I still love you

Yes, through every heartbreak, I'm staying right here

Sherry, I love you, my vision is clear
