Rex

You've got a way of looking at the world through hopeful eyes

You want the best for everybody, clear as summer skies

You're quick to pull a chair up and offer someone grace

You leave a little warmth behind in every single place

Oh, Rex, you've got a big heart beating in your chest

A kind soul that always sees the good and wants the best

I'm so proud to call you my husband and my friend

I'll be standing right beside you till the very end

I think about those afternoons out in the backyard

When the sun is shining down and we let down our guard

Playing in the swimming pool, just laughing in the blue

There's nothing that I'd rather do than spend my days with you

Oh, Rex, you've got a big heart beating in your chest

A kind soul that always sees the good and wants the best

I'm so proud to call you my husband and my friend

I'll be standing right beside you till the very end

It's rare to find a man who gives without a second thought

Who cares about the people here with everything he's got

You're gentle and you're selfless, a rock through and through

I count my lucky stars that I get to walk with you

Oh, Rex, you've got a big heart beating in your chest

A kind soul that always sees the good and wants the best

I'm so proud to call you my husband and my friend

I'll be standing right beside you till the very end
