Janet

We started out with Avon books, just knocking on those doors

Didn't know that little job would give me so much more

You had the cutest smile I knew, the biggest heart to share

Laughing at the silly things, just knowing you were there

Oh, Janet, you loved me like a sister

You made me feel so safe when the wind blew cold

I'll always keep that holiday in the sun

A memory more precious than silver or gold

Through the tears and the laughter, whatever the weather

You and me, Janet, we're besties forever

You fought your illness for so long, with everything you had

You held on with a quiet strength through the good days and the bad

I'm glad you finally found your peace, the hurting's in the past

But God, I'm gonna miss you, and the bond that's built to last

Oh, Janet, you loved me like a sister

You made me feel so safe when the wind blew cold

I'll always keep that holiday in the sun

A memory more precious than silver or gold

Through the tears and the laughter, whatever the weather

You and me, Janet, we're besties forever

We didn't need a crowded room to make the moments right

Just being there for each other, through the dark and light

I'll carry your sweet spirit in everything I do

There will never be another friend like you

Oh, Janet, you loved me like a sister

You made me feel so safe when the wind blew cold

I'll always keep that holiday in the sun

A memory more precious than silver or gold

Through the tears and the laughter, whatever the weather

You and me, Janet, we're besties forever

Yeah, you and me, Janet, besties forever
