Diane

I remember the water, the sacred embrace

When I bowed down my head in that quiet, deep place

I rose a believer, my spirit made new

A promise to Yahweh, respectful and true.

Oh Diane, keep the faith when the shadows grow long

You are a survivor, courageous and strong

Keep your eyes on the heavens, whatever may stand

And always be watchful of Yahweh's own hand.

The trials have tested the depth of my soul

But the grace of the Maker has kept my heart whole

I walk with respect for the path I must tread

By the wisdom of Yahweh, my footsteps are led.

Oh Diane, keep the faith when the shadows grow long

You are a survivor, courageous and strong

Keep your eyes on the heavens, whatever may stand

And always be watchful of Yahweh's own hand.

Through the fire and the valley, His mercy is near

A shield for the faithful, removing all fear

I hold to the covenant made in the stream

Sustained by His power, held safe in the gleam.

So Diane, keep the faith when the shadows grow long

You are a survivor, courageous and strong

Keep your eyes on the heavens, whatever may stand

And always be watchful of Yahweh's own hand.
