Becky Lynn

I see your message light up on the screen

A simple little chat to change the scene

You're giving and you're patient, honest and true

I thank the good Lord for the day He gave me you

When ordinary days are feeling far too long

You lift my heavy spirit with a joyful song

Oh, Becky Lynn, you're my sister from the heart

God wrote this friendship right from the start

You make me smile when I just want to cry

You're a beacon of light from the heavens on high

We may not share a bloodline, but we share the Lord

A kindhearted sister I will always adore

You listen with an understanding I can't explain

A loyal companion through the joy and the pain

With a caring spirit and a funny little joke

You scatter all the shadows with the words you spoke

You brighten up the corners of an ordinary day

And chase the heavy feelings so far away

Oh, Becky Lynn, you're my sister from the heart

God wrote this friendship right from the start

You make me smile when I just want to cry

You're a beacon of light from the heavens on high

We may not share a bloodline, but we share the Lord

A kindhearted sister I will always adore

I treasure this connection, I thank God every day

For sending such a kind soul to walk along my way

We aren't sisters by our birth, but by a higher chord

I love you, Becky Lynn, my sister in the Lord

Oh, Becky Lynn, you're my sister from the heart!

God brought us together, we will never be apart!

You make me smile when I just want to cry

You're a beacon of light from the heavens on high!

We may not share a bloodline, but we share the Lord

Becky Lynn, you're the friend I'm thanking Heaven for!
