Hailee

When I found out I was having a little girl

It brought a new heaven right down to my world

My heart was complete, all my prayers had come true

The moment the Lord gave a daughter like you

When the evening would fall and the shadows grew deep

You would ask me to hold you and sing you to sleep

I'd rock you and hum as the daylight would fade

Thanking the Maker for the blessing He made

Oh, Hailee, my darling, with a heart made of gold

You're the most loving spirit this world could hold

I know that the road has been rough for a while

But I'll always believe in the strength of your smile

Whenever you're heavy and need someone there

Remember that God is right there in your prayer

I see how you care for the people you meet

You love God so deeply, your spirit is sweet

The path isn't easy, the mountains are steep

But you have a faith that is anchored and deep

I know that the journey has tested your might

But you keep on walking and seeking the light

Just lean on His mercy when times become tough

His love is so real, and His grace is enough

Oh, Hailee, my darling, with a heart made of gold

You're the most loving spirit this world could hold

I know that the road has been rough for a while

But I'll always believe in the strength of your smile

Whenever you're heavy and need someone there

Remember that God is right there in your prayer

I believed in you then, as a child in my arms

And I believe in you now, through the trials and storms

You are never alone on the road that you tread

Let the love of the Savior lift up your head

If you ever feel lost in the dark of the night

I'll sing you to sleep till you're back in the light

Oh, Hailee, my darling, with a heart made of gold

You're the most loving spirit this world could hold

I know that the road has been rough for a while

But I'll always believe in the strength of your smile

Whenever you're weary and need someone there

Remember that God is always right there

Yes, Hailee, remember, He's always right there
