Misty

We'd fire up the engine and just pick a spot

It didn't really matter if we had a plan or not

I always loved going places with you by my side

You had a way of bringing magic to the ride

With every joke you told, the miles would fly right by

A wonderful spirit shining in your eye

Oh Misty, I just want to make it clear

I appreciate the laughter whenever you are near

I love you and I'm thankful for the friend I found in you

You make the heavy days feel light and pull the sunshine through

I'm so glad to have you in my life

I still smile thinking 'bout the days you'd come around

The brightest kind of energy whenever you're in town

Walking through the front door over at Grandma's place

Putting a giant smile on everybody's face

And over at Dad's house, the stories we would share

The room was always warmer just knowing you were there

Oh Misty, I just want to make it clear

I appreciate the laughter whenever you are near

I love you and I'm thankful for the friend I found in you

You make the heavy days feel light and pull the sunshine through

I'm so glad to have you in my life

You're so wonderfully funny, with a heart of solid gold

We've got a book of memories that never will get old

From the driveways to the highways and everywhere between

You're the truest kind of friend that I have ever seen

Oh Misty, I just want to make it clear

I appreciate the laughter whenever you are near

I love you and I'm thankful for the friend I found in you

You make the heavy days feel light and pull the sunshine through

I'm so glad to have you in my life

I'm so thankful for you, Misty, in my life
