Heartbreak and sickness tried stealing my song

But faith, love, and hope kept my spirit so strong

Through prayers of my friends and my church by my side

I leaned on the Savior, my comfort and guide

I have overcome every trial I faced

Wrapped in His mercy and held by His grace

He will not forsake me, I'm one of His own

I won't be out searching or begging for bread

My beautiful children, my family so dear
