Emma

The road gets heavy and the shadows fall

But I hear the whisper of a higher call

I tell myself, "Emma, just listen close"

When the journey is hard, that's what matters most

Keep your head bowed down, but your faith held high

There's a morning sun breaking through the sky

Keep going, Emma, don't you lose your way

Walk in the Spirit through the heat of the day

With a humble heart, let the Lord be your guide

Whatever the valley, He is by your side

Step by step, no matter what comes through

Keep on moving, the Spirit carries you

I look in the mirror and I tell my soul

It’s not about the glory, it’s about the goal

Laying down my pride at the altar's edge

Standing on the promise of a holy pledge

I remember the peace when the Spirit moved

In the quiet surrender, His grace was proved

Keep going, Emma, don't you lose your way

Walk in the Spirit through the heat of the day

With a humble heart, let the Lord be your guide

Whatever the valley, He is by your side

Step by step, no matter what comes through

Keep on moving, the Spirit carries you

No matter the storm, no matter the rain!

No matter the sorrow, no matter the pain!

A humble spirit is a mighty thing

It gives a heavy heart a brand new song to sing!

So lift up your eyes, the victory is won

The work in your soul has only just begun!

Keep going, Emma, don't you lose your way

Walk in the Spirit through the heat of the day

With a humble heart, let the Lord be your guide

Whatever the valley, He is by your side

Step by step, no matter what comes through

Keep on moving, the Spirit carries you!

Oh, keep on walking, the Spirit carries you!
