Alcolm

We started out as friends, just walking side by side

Then 2019 brought a dark and tragic night

When that accident turned my whole world upside down

You didn't leave me broken, lost upon the ground

You packed up California, left the golden sun

And moved to Michigan, two hearts becoming one

Oh, Alcolm Rai Jefferson, a blessing from above

You show the world the meaning of a selfless kind of love

You help the people round you, expecting nothing back

Through every up and down we face, you keep us on the track

I thank the Lord for giving me a husband so true

I'm always here for you, the way you're here for me too

I know I have my struggles, the things that I go through

But I have never felt a single judgment come from you

You look at me with mercy, you hold me in the light

You wrap me in your patience and make the shadows bright

God gave you a caring heart, so gentle and so wide

I'm honored just to be the one who's standing by your side

I know the road is heavy, I see how hard you try

To leave the glass behind you and lift your spirit high

We've been through so much hardship, but heaven sees your fight

I'm praying for your victory, stepping into the light

No matter what the battle, we'll walk it hand in hand

With grace as our foundation, together we will stand

Oh, Alcolm Rai Jefferson, a blessing from above

You show the world the meaning of a selfless kind of love

You help the people round you, expecting nothing back

Through every up and down we face, you keep us on the track

I thank the Lord for giving me a husband so true

I will love you always, Alcolm, I'm always here for you
