Petunia

I was feeling so blue, just waiting for the light

Praying a long time, through the heavy night

I asked the Lord to bring a miracle my way

Thank You, Jesus, You heard the words I'd pray

I made it through the waiting, trusting in Your plan

And now I'm holding my sweet daughter's hand

Hallelujah, thank You God for my baby

Sent from up above, my precious gift of love

Oh, Petunia, you're the blessing that He gave me

I couldn't have made it through without His grace

Now I see heaven shining in your face

Mommy loves you, my beautiful answered prayer

I finally know the reason why God created me

To be your mother, to hold you tenderly

There wasn't a time I never wanted you near

You are the miracle that wiped away the fear

A precious little daughter to call my very own

The greatest mercy that my heart has ever known

Hallelujah, thank You God for my baby

Sent from up above, my precious gift of love

Oh, Petunia, you're the blessing that He gave me

I couldn't have made it through without His grace

Now I see heaven shining in your face

Mommy loves you, my beautiful answered prayer

I need you, and sweet girl, you needed me

Where would I be if He didn't bless me with you?

Lord, I couldn't have done this without Your hand

You made my deepest, dearest dream come true

Thank You, Jesus, for making my life brand new

Hallelujah, thank You God for my baby

Sent from up above, my precious gift of love

Oh, Petunia, you're the blessing that He gave me

I couldn't have made it through without His grace

Now I see heaven shining in your face

Mommy loves you so very much, my answered prayer

Thank You, Jesus, for the miracle of you
