Malika

You've got a spirit that just never quits

Working so hard, giving all of your gifts

You see an animal or a stranger in need

You're the first one there to do a good deed

You love so hard, you give all you possess

A tender heart always trying to do your best

Oh, Malika, you'll always be my baby girl

A strong, steady light in a heavy world

You love the Lord, you walk in Jesus' grace

I pray you feel His mercy in every single place

May you know Him deep, exactly as He planned

My beautiful daughter, held safe in His hands

You try to bring the fun wherever you go

Lifting up the weary, letting laughter flow

But you have no patience for foolishness

You demand the truth and nothing less

You turn into a beast if they cross the line

A fierce protector of yours and mine

Oh, Malika, you'll always be my baby girl

A strong, steady light in a heavy world

You love the Lord, you walk in Jesus' grace

I pray you feel His mercy in every single place

May you know Him deep, exactly as He planned

My beautiful daughter, held safe in His hands

Family is the anchor of your caring soul

Looking out for us, keeping us whole

You try to do what's right for yourself and the rest

I pray the Lord guides you through every single test

May your bond with the Father just continue to grow

Into the greatest relationship you will ever know

Oh, Malika, you'll always be my baby girl

A strong, steady light in a heavy world

You love the Lord, you walk in Jesus' grace

I pray you feel His mercy in every single place

May you know Him deep, exactly as He planned

My beautiful daughter, held safe in His hands

Yes, you're always my baby girl, safe in His hands
