Dianna

Lord, I come to You in quiet

With a grateful, open heart

For the strength to be forgiving

When the pieces fall apart

You have taught me to be patient

Putting others ahead of myself

To live a life of joyful giving

Drawing water from Your well

For those who bring the sunshine

To the lives of other souls

Cannot keep it from themselves

As the grace of God unfolds

When I give away Your love

I am held in Your embrace

The light I shine on someone else

Falls right back upon my face

In every family celebration

And the quiet moments, too

Offering encouragement

That points them back to You

A steady word of motivation

When the heavy shadows fall

A compassionate believer

Who can see Your hand in all

For those who bring the sunshine

To the lives of other souls

Cannot keep it from themselves

As the grace of God unfolds

When I give away Your love

I am held in Your embrace

The light I shine on someone else

Falls right back upon my face

Lord, let Dianna be a vessel

Carrying the morning sun

For the blessing that is given

Is a blessing just begun

Every sacrifice of loving

Every time I choose to care

Is a melody of worship

Is an answered, living prayer

For those who bring the sunshine

To the lives of other souls

Cannot keep it from themselves

As the grace of God unfolds

When I give away Your love

I am held in Your embrace

The light I shine on someone else

Falls right back upon my face
