Brenton

Met you at the RSL back in '08

By the start of '09, man, it felt like fate

A skydive instructor, so wild and free

But dad made us sleep in separate beds, you and me

Then I met little Seth when he was only four

And I knew right away I couldn't love him more

Oh, Brenton, you're the steady hand I hold

Funny and patient, with a heart of gold

You keep it all flowing, you're my guiding light

I wouldn't trade a second of this sweet farm life

You've supported me through every single day

I love you more than words could ever say

Married in '11, Thailand in the sun

Then we welcomed Bam, and the wild ride begun

Through that long, hard labor, you were my rock

Drinking so much coffee just to beat the clock

Cheering Seth at Super League through a hangover haze

Then Bear came along and brought the best of days

In twenty-fifteen, our sweet Piper arrived

The final little piece of this beautiful ride

Oh, Brenton, you're the steady hand I hold

Funny and patient, with a heart of gold

You keep it all flowing, you're my guiding light

I wouldn't trade a second of this sweet farm life

You've supported me through every single day

I love you more than words could ever say

We packed up our memories and moved out of Logan

Traded it all for a dirt road wide open

To the farm of our dreams, where the green grass is growing

With your hard work and care, you keep everything flowing

Through the fun date nights and the chores in the sun

Look at this family, look what we've done

Oh, Brenton, you're the steady hand I hold

Funny and patient, with a heart of gold

You keep it all flowing, you're my guiding light

I wouldn't trade a second of this sweet farm life

You've supported me through every single day

I love you more than words could ever say
