Amelia

We miss your sweet hellos and your goodbyes

The spark of joy that lived inside your eyes

You’d wear your mother's makeup, do your hair

And try on all the shoes you loved to wear

We miss your gentle voice, your presence in the room

We will always remember your beautiful soul in bloom

Happy heavenly birthday, Amelia, today

We know you're watching over us, lighting up the way

Spinning in a pink dress, wrapped in heaven's grace

With pink balloons floating through that holy place

We lift our hands and send our love up high

To our sweet angel dancing in the sky

We miss the way you'd dance when music plays

The videos of basketball from happy days

You loved to go to school and play with friends

We know this bond of spirit never ends

We miss your warm embrace, your tender kiss

In all our everyday routines, it's you we miss

Happy heavenly birthday, Amelia, today

We know you're watching over us, lighting up the way

Spinning in a pink dress, wrapped in heaven's grace

With pink balloons floating through that holy place

We lift our hands and send our love up high

To our sweet angel dancing in the sky

Now you are with the family who went before

Walking in peace upon that heavenly shore

We hold onto your laugh, your shining smile

Resting in God's holy presence all the while

Lord, keep her safe in your eternal light

As we send up our prayers of love tonight

Happy heavenly birthday, Amelia, today

We know you're watching over us, lighting up the way

Spinning in a pink dress, wrapped in heaven's grace

With pink balloons floating through that holy place

We lift our hands and send our love up high

To our sweet angel dancing in the sky
