Aaron

Flashback to the year two thousand

Down the aisles of that Kmart store

I didn't know I was looking at my future

But my spirit knew it wanted more

Twenty-six years of pure love, baby

Going strong since the day we met

You're the patient man I prayed to find

The blessing I could never forget

Aaron, I'll always be right by your side

Through the highs and the lows, I'm down to ride

I'm a fighter for you and the things you believe

With the power of God, there's nothing we can't achieve

Patient and wise, my beautiful man

I'll hold you down forever, that's the master plan

Sunday morning, listening to the word

The sweetest hymns that we ever heard

Then we head back home to a house full of grace

Where you make sure everyone's okay in this place

You're such a great cook, stirring up the soul

Crab legs and ribs making us whole

Fried chicken and potato salad on the plate

Just enjoying this life, man, God is so great

Aaron, I'll always be right by your side

Through the highs and the lows, I'm down to ride

I'm a fighter for you and the things you believe

With the power of God, there's nothing we can't achieve

Patient and wise, my beautiful man

I'll hold you down forever, that's the master plan

You're always looking out, giving all you can give

Showing everybody else how to truly live

So tender and caring, a love so deep and broad

I will never underestimate the power of God

He brought us together, He's keeping us tight

In your loving arms, everything is alright

So Aaron, I'll always be right by your side

Through the highs and the lows, I'm down to ride

I'm a fighter for you and the things you believe

With the power of God, there's nothing we can't achieve

Twenty-six years, and we're still going strong

Right here with you is where I belong
