Nikki

From the very first day, I could see your special light

A mind so sharp and brilliant, shining steady in the night

You grew up smart and caring, with a gentle, tender grace

And I see the woman you've become in the kindness on your face.

If they ask me what I'm proud of when my working days are through

I'll say my greatest accomplishment was raising someone true

Oh, Nikki, you're a wonder, on whatever winding track

I promise you forever, I will always have your back.

You're fiercely protective of the ones you hold so dear

You stand up like a fortress when the stormy weather's near

You carry others' burdens with a wisdom so profound

But even strong defenders need some solid, level ground.

If they ask me what I'm proud of when my working days are through

I'll say my greatest accomplishment was raising someone true

Oh, Nikki, you're a wonder, on whatever winding track

I promise you forever, I will always have your back.

The years are gonna roll, and the river's gonna bend

But the love I have for you, my girl, is never gonna end

You don't have to fight alone when the shadows start to fall

I'll be right there beside you, ready when you call.

If they ask me what I'm proud of when my working days are through

I'll say my greatest accomplishment is you, just being you

Oh, Nikki, you're a wonder, on whatever winding track

I promise you forever, I will always have your back

Yeah, my greatest accomplishment is you, and I'll always have your back.
