Brandy

You’ve got a spirit that refuses to bend

When you love somebody, you love to the end

A strong-hearted woman, beautiful and true

But when you get hurt, all hell breaks loose

You’re a force of nature, a fierce burning light

You’ve always stood your ground and fought for your life

Brandy, I’m so proud of the woman you are

Jumping every hurdle, no matter how far

Whatever the struggle, whatever the drop

You fight through the shadows and come out on top

Yeah, you always come out on top

We faced the breast cancer, walking together

Through the hospital halls and the darkest of weather

The surgery, the healing, the bumps in the road

I watched you carry such a heavy load

But you beat it all back, you wouldn't give in

Two years clean now, let the rest of life begin

Brandy, I’m so proud of the woman you are

Jumping every hurdle, no matter how far

Whatever the struggle, whatever the drop

You fight through the shadows and come out on top

Yeah, you always come out on top

You’re an amazing young woman, strong-willed and brave

You stared down the storm and you conquered the wave

We’ve come a long way from the tears that we cried

My beautiful daughter, you fill me with pride

Oh, Brandy, I’m so proud of the woman you are

Jumping every hurdle, wearing every scar

Whatever the struggle, whatever the drop

You fight through the shadows and come out on top

My beautiful fighter, you come out on top

Yeah, you always come out on top
