Emersyn

I still remember that very first cry

Wiping the tears of joy from my eye

I held my breath as you took your first breath

Looking at a miracle, feeling so blessed

I was right there when you came into this world

Emersyn, my beautiful girl

You’ve got a funny way of bringing the light

A caring heart that makes everything right

You love so big and you love so free

You are a perfect blessing to me

And when I hold your hand, I finally see

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

I watch you grow a little more each day

Leaving your kindness along the way

You wrap your arms around the ones in need

With a tender spirit and a gentle deed

I thank the Lord for the soul you are

My favorite piece of heaven, my brightest star

You’ve got a funny way of bringing the light

A caring heart that makes everything right

You love so big and you love so free

You are a perfect blessing to me

And when I hold your hand, I finally see

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

Whenever the shadows start to fall

Or the mountains ahead look a little too tall

Just remember the promise that carries us through

The very same Savior is watching over you

You’ve got a funny way of bringing the light

A caring heart that makes everything right

You love so big and you love so free

You are a perfect blessing to me

And when I hold your hand, I finally see

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

Yes, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me
