Michael

Michael, you have a spirit so rare

Showing the whole world how much you care

I watch you close your eyes and pray

For the people you meet along the way

You give without asking a thing in return

You're the steady light that I watch burn

It's in the gentle, quiet things you do

That make me fall so deeply in love with you

I love you with all my heart

I think I knew it from the very start

You lift me up, you keep me strong

Right by your side is where I belong

Michael, you're the only one I see

When I dream of how tomorrow will be

Every Sunday morning, we walk through the doors

With my hand resting safely inside of yours

Sitting in the church, right side by side

I look at you and I'm filled with pride

Your faith is a beautiful thing to witness

Always treating others with such forgiveness

You carry the weight of the ones in need

And follow wherever your kindness leads

I love you with all my heart

I think I knew it from the very start

You lift me up, you keep me strong

Right by your side is where I belong

Michael, you're the only one I see

When I dream of how tomorrow will be

Now I'm holding onto a beautiful dream

Of you and me as a lifelong team

I'm waiting for the moment you take my hand

And ask me if I'll wear that wedding band

I'm ready for the question, ready for the knee

Ready for a future, just you and me

'Cause I love you with all my heart

I think I knew it from the very start

You lift me up, you keep me strong

Right by your side is where I belong

Michael, you're the only one I see

And I'm ready for forever, you and me
