Chad

Just chilling at home, watching you run the show

With that endless energy, always ready to go

You’re joking with me and your dad, making us smile

We could sit in the living room watching you for a while

You’re so smart and you’re loving, you’re gentle and kind

Leaving all of the quiet and the boredom behind

Oh, Chad, we love you, no matter what comes your way

Even when we give you directions for the day

You don't have to get mad, you don't need to be upset

It's just a part of life, it's as simple as it gets

We’re just helping you grow, we are always on your team

You’re the light of this house and our favorite dream

You’re so quick with a joke, always keeping it light

Your kindness shines through, making everything bright

We love to see you smiling, just acting so wild

We're so lucky to raise such a wonderful child

It’s these everyday moments, just the three of us here

That make all the joy in our family so clear

Oh, Chad, we love you, no matter what comes your way

Even when we give you directions for the day

You don't have to get mad, you don't need to be upset

It's just a part of life, it's as simple as it gets

We’re just helping you grow, we are always on your team

You’re the light of this house and our favorite dream

I know it's frustrating when we tell you what to do

But every little lesson is out of love for you

There's no need for the anger, no need for the fight

We're just guiding your steps so you walk in the light

It’s just a part of life, it's how everybody grows

And we'll be right beside you wherever it goes

Oh, Chad, we love you, no matter what comes your way

Even when we give you directions for the day

You don't have to get mad, you don't need to be upset

It's just a part of life, it's as simple as it gets

We’re just helping you grow, we are always on your team

You’re the light of this house and our favorite dream
