Lakesha

Lakesha, I see the devotion you show

Watching your beautiful family grow

You’re a sister, a mother, a grandmother too

Always working so hard in all that you do

My excellent daughter, my wonderful girl

You bring so much comfort and peace to my world

Thank you for showing me you love me so deep

It’s a blessing I promise to honor and keep

But no matter how much you pour from your core

I need you to know that I love you more

Yeah, I love you more, my Lakesha, it's true

There's nobody else who could ever be you

I love when we dress up and step out the door

Making sweet memories, then making some more

Or just kicking back, sharing laughs by the screen

Scrolling through YouTube and setting the scene

It doesn't take much when I'm sitting with you

Just feeling the warmth of a bond that's so true

Thank you for showing me you love me so deep

It’s a blessing I promise to honor and keep

But no matter how much you pour from your core

I need you to know that I love you more

Yeah, I love you more, my Lakesha, it's true

There's nobody else who could ever be you

You take care of everyone, day after day

Giving your heart in your own tender way

So just take a breath, let me sing you this song

To remind you my love is forever and strong

You give so much light to the people you hold

With a spirit of beauty and a heart made of gold

So thank you for showing me you love me so deep

It’s a blessing I promise to honor and keep

But no matter how much you pour from your core

I need you to know that I love you more

Yeah, I love you more, my Lakesha, it's true

My excellent daughter, I'm so proud of you
