Brentley Wayne Smith

Since the very first day you took a breath

Every moment is a memory we protect

Five years of watching you learn to run

Our little universe circling the sun

You brought a spark into this world, it's true

Everything changed the day we met you

Oh, Brentley Wayne, our blue-eyed angel

Sweet and caring, keeping us thankful

With every little kiss you give away

You chase the heavy shadows away

Papaw and Mamaw just want you to know

We love you more than we could ever show

Brentley Wayne Smith, you've got a gentle heart

You’ve been a miracle right from the start

Five years old with a loving soul

Making this family completely whole

When you wrap your arms around us tight

Suddenly everything feels so right

Oh, Brentley Wayne, our blue-eyed angel

Sweet and caring, keeping us thankful

With every little kiss you give away

You chase the heavy shadows away

Papaw and Mamaw just want you to know

We love you more than we could ever show

Time is moving fast, the years will fly

But we'll be right here standing by

Through every stage, through every phase

We’ll cherish all these golden days

You're our grandson, our guiding light

Making the whole world look so bright

Oh, Brentley Wayne, our blue-eyed angel

Sweet and caring, keeping us thankful

With every little kiss you give away

You chase the heavy shadows away

Papaw and Mamaw just want you to know

We love you more than we could ever show

Our blue-eyed angel, we love you so
