Lauran

I remember the mornings at the Kindergarten door

From the Pre-K classrooms to so much more

Even then you were patient, a light in the room

A gifted young spirit just starting to bloom

I watched you take those steps, so incredibly smart

With the love of the Savior right there in your heart

Oh, Lauran, look how you've grown by His hand

Increasing in favor with God and with man

Increasing in wisdom, in stature and grace

Bringing a heavenly joy to this place

You're intelligent, shining, and faithfully true

I thank the good Lord for a daughter like you

Through the middle school changes and the high school halls

You leaned on your faith and you answered the calls

Then you stepped into college, coming into your own

Showing the beautiful seeds He had sown

You carried your brilliance with a humble embrace

Running your journey at a wonderful pace

Oh, Lauran, look how you've grown by His hand

Increasing in favor with God and with man

Increasing in wisdom, in stature and grace

Bringing a heavenly joy to this place

You're intelligent, shining, and faithfully true

I thank the good Lord for a daughter like you

You are always encouraging, lifting us higher

Guided by wisdom and spiritual fire

Through every new chapter, through every degree

You're exactly who God created you to be

Yes, the Lord is your shepherd, and He's leading the way

As you grow in His spirit every single day

Oh, Lauran, look how you've grown by His hand

Increasing in favor with God and with man!

Increasing in wisdom, in stature and grace

Bringing a heavenly joy to this place

You're intelligent, shining, and faithfully true

I thank the good Lord for a daughter like you

Yes, I thank the good Lord for a daughter like you!
