Matt

I traded California for the Minnesota cold

Looking for a job and a new life to unfold

The phone rang for an interview, I heard your voice come through

I didn't know my greatest blessing was gonna be you

We started out as friends, just talking on the line

Now I look forward to seeing you all the time

Oh Matt, you're my honey bee, patient, sweet, and kind

A funny, thoughtful, tidy man with a gentle state of mind

You tell me I'm amazing, a breath of fresh air

With classic country playing from the corner chair

You smell like fresh raindrops falling from above

Happy anniversary to my heaven-sent love

We hit the road to Chicago to see our good friends

Visiting your grandkids, I hope the highway never ends

You're fixing up the house, making everything right

Then baking and cooking us a warm meal tonight

We settle on the couch, put a movie on the screen

There are no dull moments in this beautiful routine

Oh Matt, you're my honey bee, patient, sweet, and kind

A funny, thoughtful, tidy man with a gentle state of mind

You tell me I'm amazing, a breath of fresh air

With classic country playing from the corner chair

You smell like fresh raindrops falling from above

Happy anniversary to my heaven-sent love

We both love the Lord and the grace that He has shown

With trust and with respect, it's the safest love I've known

No empty, broken promises, just words that we hold true

Treating me like the wonderful woman God made for you

Our journey is fantastic, my heart is so secure

With a great man like you, of this one thing I am sure

I'm praying for the future, when the timing is right

Where we're finally united as husband and wife

Oh Matt, you're my honey bee, patient, sweet, and kind

A funny, thoughtful, tidy man with a gentle state of mind

You tell me I'm amazing, a breath of fresh air

With classic country playing from the corner chair

You smell like fresh raindrops falling from above

Happy anniversary to my heaven-sent love
