William

I sent a whisper up to the sky

Waiting for a light to catch my eye

Then through a screen, your words appeared

And all my quiet doubts were cleared

We counted down the passing days

Until we finally stood face to face

The moment that I saw you there

I knew that Heaven heard my prayer

Oh, William, with your genuine heart

A tender spirit, set apart

So patient, so kind, so sincere and sweet

You make this life feel so complete

I thank the Lord for the love we share

You are the answer to my deepest prayer

I still remember our very first kiss

A quiet moment of holy bliss

You hold my spirit with sensitive hands

A passionate soul who understands

You bring the positive, you bring the light

You make the heavy burdens bright

With every caring word you say

You wash the shadows of the world away

Oh, William, with your genuine heart

A tender spirit, set apart

So patient, so kind, so sincere and sweet

You make this life feel so complete

I thank the Lord for the love we share

You are the answer to my deepest prayer

I love you more than my voice can hold

A beautiful grace that is just unfolding

I make this vow on my bended knee

To be the joy that you need from me

I promise to make you happy and whole

To honor your mind and cherish your soul

Oh, William, with your genuine heart

A tender spirit, set apart

So patient, so kind, so sincere and sweet

You make this life feel so complete

I thank the Lord for the love we share

You are the answer to my deepest prayer

My sweet William, my answered prayer
