Maudie Lee

Sitting round the house, feeling heaven in the room

Watching how you bow your head, chasing out the gloom

Mother, you have shown the truth in every single way

A quiet kind of reverence in everything you say

You’re a well of living water, running deep and free

My sweet mother, Maudie Lee

You are God-filled, walking in the light

A blessing in the morning, a comfort in the night

Clothed in His holiness, so plain for all to see

Oh, me and Jesus love you, Maudie Lee

Yes, me and Jesus love you, Maudie Lee

Every time you speak, it is anchored in the Word

The sweetest testimony that I have ever heard

Faithful through the seasons, you always stood the test

Leaning on the Savior, trusting in His rest

You showed me what it means to bend a humble knee

Thank the Lord for Maudie Lee

You are God-filled, walking in the light

A blessing in the morning, a comfort in the night

Clothed in His holiness, so plain for all to see

Oh, me and Jesus love you, Maudie Lee

Yes, me and Jesus love you, Maudie Lee

A lifetime of devotion, a heart so pure and true

I see the grace of Heaven when I look at you

Just sitting round the house, soaking in the peace

A mother's holy love that will never cease

'Cause you are God-filled, walking in the light

A blessing in the morning, a comfort in the night

Clothed in His holiness, so plain for all to see

Oh, me and Jesus love you, Maudie Lee

Yes, me and Jesus love you, Maudie Lee

Mother, me and Jesus love you, Maudie Lee
