Future husband

I close my eyes and bow my head

And pray for where your steps are led

I haven't seen your face just yet

But deep inside, my heart is set

I trust the Lord who writes our story

To guide your life and show His glory

I haven't met you, but I love you

I'm lifting up my hands to pray for you

I don't know what tomorrow holds

Or how this beautiful plan unfolds

But I'm resting in the Maker's perfect design

Waiting for the day that you are mine

I pray He builds you strong and wise

With gentle mercy in your eyes

A humble leader, standing tall

Who listens for the Savior's call

So thoughtful, caring, and encouraging too

I thank the Lord for how He's shaping you

I haven't met you, but I love you

I'm lifting up my hands to pray for you

I don't know what tomorrow holds

Or how this beautiful plan unfolds

But I'm resting in the Maker's perfect design

Waiting for the day that you are mine

Let Him be the center of our days

Let Him be the anchor of our ways

Though the road ahead is out of sight

I know He's walking with you in the light

I'm holding onto faith until we meet

And lay our future at the Father's feet

I haven't met you, but I love you

I'm lifting up my hands to pray for you

I don't know what tomorrow holds

Or how this beautiful plan unfolds

But I'm resting in the Maker's perfect design

My future husband, I will wait for you

Yes, I'm waiting for the day that you are mine
