Amanda Joy

Nineteen eighty-six, just six weeks old

A little red-haired girl to have and hold

The sweetest gift that heaven sent my way

I've loved you more with every passing day

Growing up with two brothers by your side

You filled our family's heart with love and pride

Amanda Joy, a gift sent from above

A woman full of faithfulness and love

A patriot who stands for what is true

The Lord has always had a plan for you

Amanda Jo, let this holy truth unfurl:

"He chose me in Christ Jesus from before the foundation of the world"

September ninth is bringing forty years

Through all the seasons, the triumphs, and the cheers

A loving wife, a mother through and through

With three red-headed children who look just like you

Working in the legislature, giving it your all

Walking as a Christian, standing tall

Amanda Joy, a gift sent from above

A woman full of faithfulness and love

A patriot who stands for what is true

The Lord has always had a plan for you

Amanda Jo, let this holy truth unfurl:

"He chose me in Christ Jesus from before the foundation of the world"

I know the heavy sorrow that you bore

When Covid took your father to heaven's door

But he is looking down from up above

Surrounding you and your children with his love

He sees the steadfast woman you've become

Anchored in the Father and the Son

Amanda Joy, a gift sent from above

A woman full of faithfulness and love

A patriot who stands for what is true

The Lord has always had a plan for you

Amanda Jo, let this holy truth unfurl:

"He chose me in Christ Jesus from before the foundation of the world"
