Dana

We were just finding our way, looking for a place

Walking through the doors, stepping into grace

Back at First Baptist Church, sitting in the pew

I didn't know the blessing I would find in you

You had a welcoming smile right from the start

The kind of connection that anchors the heart

Oh, Dana, you're a steady light in the dark

Faithful and caring, you've got a beautiful heart

So loving through the storms and the sunny weather

I know it's true, friends are friends forever

Yeah, friends are friends forever

Trading Sunday mornings for the summer sun

Up at Cedar Point, just chasing down the fun

Your little brother laughing, tagging right along

Screaming on the coasters, feeling so strong

Climbing up the tracks, hands raised to the sky

With you right beside me, watching time fly by

Oh, Dana, you're a steady light in the dark

Faithful and caring, you've got a beautiful heart

So loving through the storms and the sunny weather

I know it's true, friends are friends forever

Yeah, friends are friends forever

Through all the changing seasons, you never walk away

You listen when I need you, you know just what to say

A bond that started simple grew into something deep

A promise of a lifetime that we're always gonna keep

Oh, Dana, you're a steady light in the dark

Faithful and caring, you've got a beautiful heart

So loving through the storms and the sunny weather

I know it's true, friends are friends forever

Yeah, Dana, we are friends forever
