Anna

Packed your bags and found a dorm, a campus of your own

It's hard to watch my little girl step out into the unknown

But you navigate the busy streets with independent grace

Finding every lecture hall, making it your space

You never let the shadows hold you down or break your stride

I watch you take on every day, bursting with such pride

Oh, Anna, you're so beautiful from the inside out

Smart and so tenacious, leaving no room for a doubt

You show this whole wide world what it means to find the light

My girl, you walk by faith, and not by sight

Saw your name up on the Dean's List, working late into the night

You pour your soul in everything to get the answers right

You’ve got a thoughtful, caring heart and a brilliant, sharp mind

The way that you persevere leaves the obstacles behind

Living out your college dreams, standing on your own two feet

You conquer every single challenge on that campus street

Oh, Anna, you're so beautiful from the inside out

Smart and so tenacious, leaving no room for a doubt

You show this whole wide world what it means to find the light

My girl, you walk by faith, and not by sight

Some folks need their eyes to know which way they ought to go

But you've got a compass in your spirit helping you to grow

You don't need to look around to know exactly who to be

You're the bravest, kindest daughter I could ever hope to see

Oh, Anna, you're so beautiful from the inside out

Smart and so tenacious, leaving no room for a doubt

You show this whole wide world what it means to find the light

My girl, you walk by faith

Yeah, you walk by faith, and not by sight
