Izzy

You carry a heart that is heavy with grace

Making sure everyone finds a safe place

You put your friends and your family first

A well in the desert when they have a thirst

You see all the goodness they can't see themselves

But sometimes you leave your own needs on the shelves

Oh, Izzy, I want you to finally see

You are always loved, you are beautifully free

You are worthy of grace for the person you are

A light in the dark and a sheltering star

Don't ever change who you're meant to be

You are kind, you are loved, you are worthy to me

You’ve walked through the shadows and weathered the rain

But you keep right on going in spite of the pain

When reality gets to be too much to bear

You build a new world in the quietest air

A big imagination where your spirit flies

To a joyful and happy and colorful sky

Oh, Izzy, I want you to finally see

You are always loved, you are beautifully free

You are worthy of grace for the person you are

A light in the dark and a sheltering star

Don't ever change who you're meant to be

You are kind, you are loved, you are worthy to me

When the voices whisper you're nothing unique

When you feel untalented, weary, and weak

Let the truth wash over and silence the lies

You are wonderfully made in the Maker's eyes

Hold onto the joy, let the heavy walls fall

You are amazing, and loved through it all

Oh, Izzy, I want you to finally see

You are always loved, you are beautifully free

You are worthy of grace for the person you are

A light in the dark and a sheltering star

Don't ever change who you're meant to be

You are kind, you are amazing, and worthy to me
