Crazy

We crossed paths many seasons ago

Time moved on, letting memories fade low

But the Lord has a way of turning the page

And bringing us back to a beautiful stage

You ran into my daughter out of the blue

A chance conversation that pointed to you

She passed on the words that you had to say

And grace opened up a brand new way

Oh, Crazy, you’re a light in the dark

A funny, kind soul with a caring heart

I want you to know just how much you are loved

A beautiful friend sent down from above

Hold your head high, let your spirit be free

I thank God for the day you were led back to me

It’s been a few months since we picked up the phone

Reminding each other we're never alone

You bring the laughter, you bring the care

A loving spirit that's wonderfully rare

With every gentle thing that you do

I see the goodness shining right through

I want to encourage the man that I see

And tell you how much you mean to me

Oh, Crazy, you’re a light in the dark

A funny, kind soul with a caring heart

I want you to know just how much you are loved

A beautiful friend sent down from above

Hold your head high, let your spirit be free

I thank God for the day you were led back to me

When the road gets heavy and you’re feeling weak

Listen to the truth that I want to speak

You are special, you are valued, you are seen

A testament to what true friendship means

He guided your steps to my family's door

To give back the friend I was thankful for

Oh, Crazy, you’re a light in the dark

A funny, kind soul with a caring heart

I want you to know just how much you are loved

A beautiful friend sent down from above

Hold your head high, let your spirit be free

I thank God for the day you were led back to me
