John

We cast a little line on Plenty of Fish

I didn't know I'd catch a love like this

You always make me laugh, you're patient and wise

A caring protector with a kind look in his eyes

From the moment we met, I knew you were the one

My shelter in the storm, my steady morning sun

God's got you, John, and so will I

I'll be right beside you as the years go by

Your family loves you, and Jesus does too

His grace is always pouring over you

Hope in the Lord, and He'll renew your strength

We'll soar on wings like eagles, whatever the length

You'll run and not grow weary, walk and not be faint

God's got you, John, and so will I, always

I still remember that Gatlinburg trip

The song that you wrote me, the words on your lips

Then came the promise on our wedding day

A beautiful covenant to guide our way

Now we're out at Cherokee Lake in the sun

In our perfect little camper, just having some fun

Every single memory we make is a prize

I see the love of heaven looking back in your eyes

God's got you, John, and so will I

I'll be right beside you as the years go by

Your family loves you, and Jesus does too

His grace is always pouring over you

Hope in the Lord, and He'll renew your strength

We'll soar on wings like eagles, whatever the length

You'll run and not grow weary, walk and not be faint

God's got you, John, and so will I, always

You're always so helpful, so loving and kind

A better man than you would be impossible to find

So if the world gets heavy, or if you feel low

I'll remind you of the promise that we both know

I love you forever, through the joy and the tears

We're walking together through the rest of our years

Cause God's got you, John, and so will I

I'll be right beside you as the years go by

Your family loves you, and Jesus does too

His grace is always pouring over you

Hope in the Lord, and He'll renew your strength

We'll soar on wings like eagles, whatever the length

You'll run and not grow weary, walk and not be faint

God's got you, John, and so will I, always
