Jadon

We spent the afternoon with dirt on our hands

Digging for treasures, just making our plans

With the radio playing our favorite song

Humming the melody all the day long

Jadon, you always know how to find

The beautiful things that get left behind

'Cause you’ve got a mind that’s sharp as a tack

And a joke that can always bring my smile back

With a handsome face and a rare kind of soul

You make all the heavy days feel a bit whole

If you ever wonder, I hope that you see

Jadon, you are loved by so many, and me

We’d put on a record and let it just spin

Talking 'bout life and the places we've been

You've got a way of just lighting a room

Chasing away every shadow and gloom

With a clever remark and an easy grin

I'm lucky to call you a friend through thick and thin

'Cause you’ve got a mind that’s sharp as a tack

And a joke that can always bring my smile back

With a handsome face and a rare kind of soul

You make all the heavy days feel a bit whole

If you ever wonder, I hope that you see

Jadon, you are loved by so many, and me

When the world gets quiet and the music fades out

If you ever find yourself lost in the doubt

Just look at the people who stand by your side

We're counting our blessings and filled up with pride

'Cause you’ve got a mind that’s sharp as a tack

And a joke that can always bring my smile back

With a handsome face and a rare kind of soul

You make all the heavy days feel a bit whole

If you ever wonder, I hope that you see

Jadon, you are loved by so many, and me
