Josiah

I remember the morning I gave birth to you

A miracle from Heaven, making all things new

We went through the shadows with nowhere to stay

No home of our own, just trusting the way

But even when we didn't have a roof overhead

You were a strong little boy, just like I've always said

You smiled through the hardship and weathered the cold

With a spirit so brave and a courage so bold

Oh, Josiah, put God first in all that you do

He's the one who will always make a way for you

You're so incredibly smart, with a soul so bright

Keep loving sweet Jesus, keep walking in His light

Be all that you can be in the Master's hands

My beautiful son, in the purpose He planned

When Sunday morning comes, you're the first one awake

You love to go to church for the Savior's sake

Lifting up your hands, singing out His praise

I watch your brilliant mind growing every day

You study the Word, you hold it deep inside

Let the Holy Spirit be your comfort and guide

Oh, Josiah, put God first in all that you do

He's the one who will always make a way for you

You're so incredibly smart, with a soul so bright

Keep loving sweet Jesus, keep walking in His light

Be all that you can be in the Master's hands

My beautiful son, in the purpose He planned

We were homeless and tired, but we never walked alone

God took our heavy burdens and He gave us a home

Through those hardest valleys, your strength was my spark

Now you're shining His glory right out of the dark

Oh, Josiah, put God first in all that you do

He's the one who will always make a way for you

You're so incredibly smart, with a soul so bright

Keep loving sweet Jesus, keep walking in His light

Be all that you can be in the Master's hands

My beautiful son, in the purpose He planned
