Carrie Lee

Every morning I wake up and I count my grace

Seeing the warmth that shines upon your face

You are my mother, my anchor, my closest friend

A beautiful love that I know will never end

You built a shelter, protective and strong

Guiding my spirit and helping me carry on

Oh, Carrie Lee, you have a heart of pure gold

The greatest blessing that our hands could ever hold

I thank the Lord for the mother He gave to Donald and me

The most beautiful soul that my eyes will ever see

You put our needs before your own, unconditional and free

I love you, Momma, my sweet Carrie Lee

I treasure the hours, every moment we spend

Because you're my mother, and my very best friend

Looking back on the seasons, the memories we made

You were the sunshine that chased away the shade

You gave up your wants just to make sure we grew

There is no comfort like the grace I found in you

Oh, Carrie Lee, you have a heart of pure gold

The greatest blessing that our hands could ever hold

I thank the Lord for the mother He gave to Donald and me

The most beautiful soul that my eyes will ever see

You put our needs before your own, unconditional and free

I love you, Momma, my sweet Carrie Lee

With all of my heart, I just want to say

I lift up a prayer of thanks every single day

Your love is a river, it endlessly flows

Watching out for your children wherever we go

You laid down your life so that our lives could start

I love you, Momma, with all of my heart

Oh, Carrie Lee, you have a heart of pure gold

The greatest blessing that our hands could ever hold

I thank the Lord for the mother He gave to Donald and me

The most beautiful soul that my eyes will ever see

You put our needs before your own, unconditional and free

I love you, Momma, my sweet Carrie Lee

Yes, I love you, Momma, my sweet Carrie Lee
