Joshua

I remember the day you completed the frame

My youngest son, Joshua is your name

You've always been so quick to make me smile

Got a smart, bright mind that goes on for miles

I watch you walk through this world with grace

Bringing so much light to a quiet place

'Cause you're my best friend, steady and true

I love the man that you've grown into

Out of all the choices and the paths I've paved

You are the best thing I ever made

Yeah, right from the start

You are the best part of my heart

I see the way you put the hard work in

A steady soul through the thick and thin

You never back down when the road gets tough

I could never say that I'm proud enough

You give it your all from the dawn to the dark

Leaving your own kind of beautiful mark

'Cause you're my best friend, steady and true

I love the man that you've grown into

Out of all the choices and the paths I've paved

You are the best thing I ever made

Yeah, right from the start

You are the best part of my heart

They say a parent's job is letting go

But there is one thing that you need to know

No matter how tall you stand today

You're still my boy in every single way

And you're my best friend, steady and true

I love the man that you've grown into

Out of all the choices and the paths I've paved

Joshua, you're the best thing I ever made

Yeah, right from the start

You are the best part of my heart

The very best part of my heart
