Carlos

My sister brought you right into my life

I never dreamed I would end up your wife

I came to you with two kids of my own

You made sure that we wouldn't do it alone

You stepped right up and you stood by my side

With a patient heart and nothing to hide

Carlos, you love me through the ups and the downs

You stay by my side when the shadows surround

You see every flaw and you love me the same

I’m so incredibly proud of your name

My best friend, my rock, keeping me on track

I love you, Carlos, to the moon and back

When two of our nieces needed a home

You promised they'd never be out on their own

Suddenly four kids were running the floor

You loved them as yours, I couldn't ask for more

A father by choice, so gentle and true

That's just the kind, loving nature of you

Carlos, you love me through the ups and the downs

You stay by my side when the shadows surround

You see every flaw and you love me the same

I’m so incredibly proud of your name

My best friend, my rock, keeping me on track

I love you, Carlos, to the moon and back

Through all of my highs and through all of my lows

Your beautiful spirit just constantly shows

You took on a family that wasn't your own

And built us the warmest, most wonderful home

Carlos, you love me through the ups and the downs

You stay by my side when the shadows surround

You see every flaw and you love me the same

I’m so incredibly proud of your name

My best friend forever, keeping me on track

I love you, Carlos, to the moon and back

Yeah, I love you, Carlos, to the moon and back
