Joshua

Joshua, I still hear the engine's sound

Wheels spinning fast across the open ground

You always found your peace out in the breeze

Riding free, out among the trees

Every winding trail was a brand new start

An adventurer with a gentle, open heart

Now you're riding on a highway that we can't see

Leaving all your love with your family

Your brother and your sister hold your memory close

And your children are the ones that you loved the most

Keep the engine running, keep your spirit bright

As you ride on into the light

You never missed a chance to take the beauty in

The quiet of the forest, the freedom of the wind

A brother and a sister, a bond that wouldn't break

You carried so much love for your family's sake

Through the eyes of your children, your spirit carries on

Even though their favorite rider has gone

Now you're riding on a highway that we can't see

Leaving all your love with your family

Your brother and your sister hold your memory close

And your children are the ones that you loved the most

Keep the engine running, keep your spirit bright

As you ride on into the light

The road doesn't end where the earth meets the sky

It just winds its way up to a place on high

I know exactly who is waiting at the line

Your grandfather is smiling, saying "You're right on time"

Together in heaven, where the skies are always blue

He's been saving a spot for you

So keep riding on that highway that we can't see

You left a trail of love for your family

Your brother and your sister hold your memory close

And your children are the ones that you loved the most

Joshua, my friend, we know you're doing alright

Riding free into the light
