Rosie

From the moment that I met you, you captured all my heart

I knew the Lord had joined us right from the very start

With your beautiful eyes sparkling and a fantastic soul to shine

February twenty-first of nineteen seventy-nine

That first kiss was a promise, a blessing from above

The day that God revealed to me the meaning of true love

God bless you, my love, my sweet Rosie

A devoted mother and a faithful wife

I thank the Lord for every single moment

That He has kept you here inside my life

Please remember me, through all we've journeyed through

Because I will always, always love you

When the shadows fell upon us and your strength was wearing weak

God gave me the hands to hold you, gave me the faith to seek

By His mercy I could care for you and help to save your life

It brings me such fulfillment just to serve my precious wife

Thanks be to the Father for the healing that He gave

For the privilege of protecting you, and all the love we save

God bless you, my love, my sweet Rosie

A devoted mother and a faithful wife

I thank the Lord for every single moment

That He has kept you here inside my life

Please remember me, through all we've journeyed through

Because I will always, always love you

Your fantastic personality brings joy to every day

A devoted, caring spirit that could never fade away

I will cherish you forever under Heaven's gentle sky

Praising God for every second as the years go rolling by

So God bless you, my love, my sweet Rosie

A devoted mother and a faithful wife

I thank the Lord for every single moment

That He has kept you here inside my life

Please remember me, and all the grace we knew

Because I will always, always love you

Before the Lord, I will always love you
