Melinda

Melinda, I watch how you walk through this life

With a mind full of knowledge and eyes full of light

Whenever you can, you step up to the line

Volunteering your heart and offering your time

You see someone hurting, you reach out a hand

With a quiet compassion that helps them to stand

Oh, Melinda, I love you for all that you are

Keeping your family close to your heart

A daughter of faith, so steady and true

There is love in the center of all that you do

I just want to say, as I look at you now

I love you forever, you make me so proud

It feels like just yesterday you were so small

Now you're a mother, embracing it all

I stood by and watched you become a sweet wife

Building a beautiful, family-first life

You anchor your home in the words that you pray

And your faith only deepens with each passing day

Oh, Melinda, I love you for all that you are

Keeping your family close to your heart

A daughter of faith, so steady and true

There is love in the center of all that you do

I just want to say, as I look at you now

I love you forever, you make me so proud

You pour out your spirit, you give what you have

Walking a humble and generous path

With so much to juggle, you still make the space

To cover the people around you in grace

Oh, Melinda, I love you for all that you are

Keeping your family close to your heart

A daughter of faith, so steady and true

There is love in the center of all that you do

I just want to say, as I look at you now

I love you forever, you make me so proud

Yes, I love you forever, you make me so proud
