ANGEL MELAINE

The enemy tried to take me from this place

Almost succeeded, but I found Your grace

The fact I'm alive is a miracle, Lord

You are my shelter, my shield, and my sword

I trust in You, God, with all of my heart

I lean not on me when the deep waters part

You made my path straight when the night was so cold

Now I am walking the story You told

I am a warrior, tender but bold

Walking the calling Your spirit foretold

Ephesians four, I will answer the cry

To live as the apple of my Father's eye

Angel Melaine, held in Your grace

Walking out worthy and seeking Your face

I fight for the underdog, fierce and true

Speaking the honest words given by You

I'll say what they're thinking, I stand in the light

With humor and truth, I will stay in the fight

But here in Your presence, my armor comes down

I trade in my battles to look at Your crown

Second Chronicles brings me to my knees

I humble my spirit and pray as You please

I am a warrior, tender but bold

Walking the calling Your spirit foretold

Ephesians four, I will answer the cry

To live as the apple of my Father's eye

Angel Melaine, held in Your grace

Walking out worthy and seeking Your face

I acknowledge You, God, in all of my ways

You kept me breathing through all of my days

Integral, faithful, a spirit reborn

You held me together when I was so torn

I turn from the world and I look to the sky

Safe in the gaze of my Father's eye

I am a warrior, tender but bold

Walking the calling Your spirit foretold

Ephesians four, I will answer the cry

To live as the apple of my Father's eye

Angel Melaine, held in Your grace

Walking out worthy and seeking Your face
