Alicia

Alicia, take a breath and look at where you've been

When the walls were heavy and the shadows crept right in

You lost your family, lost your job, the tears would fall

Anxiety and depression tried to take it all

But you kept your spirit honest, loving, and true

Even when the sky was a lonely shade of blue

'Cause greater is He that is living in you

Than the pain of the world that you're traveling through

Faithful and loyal, you're wrapped up in grace

Let the truth of the Father wipe the tears from your face

You've overcome the shadows, you've stepped into the light

Alicia, you've already won the fight

When the world was talking, you listened to His Word

The sweetest reassurance that your soul has ever heard

Out of every empty room and every sleepless night

Your walk with God grew stronger, stepping toward the light

You didn't let the bitterness take root inside your heart

He was holding you together when you fell apart

'Cause greater is He that is living in you

Than the pain of the world that you're traveling through

Faithful and loyal, you're wrapped up in grace

Let the truth of the Father wipe the tears from your face

You've overcome the shadows, you've stepped into the light

Alicia, you've already won the fight

First John chapter four, verses four through six

The anchor for your soul when the sorrow hits

We know the spirit of truth from the spirit of lies

So lift up your head, let the healing arise

You are of God, and you have overcome

The battles are finished, the victory is won

'Cause greater is He that is living in you

Than the pain of the world that you're traveling through

Faithful and loyal, you're wrapped up in grace

Let the truth of the Father wipe the tears from your face

You've overcome the shadows, you've stepped into the light

Alicia, you've already won the fight
