Claretta

Five years ago, a blessing came

I learned a faithful sister's name

A caring spirit, kind and true

The love of heaven shining through

I see the Maker in your face

A living testament of grace

Oh Claretta, a true woman of God

Walking the path that the righteous have trod

Loving and caring in all that you do

I see the heart of the Savior in you

You lift up my spirit, you strengthen my soul

By pointing my eyes to the ultimate goal

Whenever I am losing sight

You always point me to the light

Your words of courage lift me up

You pour His joy into my cup

You never let me walk alone

You lead me to the Father's throne

Oh Claretta, a true woman of God

Walking the path that the righteous have trod

Loving and caring in all that you do

I see the heart of the Savior in you

You lift up my spirit, you strengthen my soul

By pointing my eyes to the ultimate goal

I thank the Lord for the gift of a friend

On whom I know I can always depend

For half a decade of sharing the Word

The sweetest encouragement I've ever heard

You show me the meaning of selfless and kind

A beautiful faith and a peace in your mind

Oh Claretta, a true woman of God

Walking the path that the righteous have trod

Loving and caring in all that you do

I see the heart of the Savior in you

You lift up my spirit, you strengthen my soul

By pointing my eyes to the ultimate goal
