Caleb

I still remember those early days we met

Visiting your mom, a time I won't forget

I watched you grow into the man you are now

You always give your best, you always figure out how

You work so hard, you never quit the grind

Leaving all the shadows and the doubts behind

Oh Caleb, you've got a heart like a classic

Taking the rust and turning it to magic

Restoring old cars, bringing them to life

With a sense of humor cutting through the strife

You give your love freely, every single day

And I miss you, more than I can say

Out on the water, my favorite fishing buddy

Even when the weather turned cold and muddy

You're a good companion, so caring and kind

With an empathy for others that is hard to find

We'd sit for hours, just talking in the breeze

You always had a way of putting me at ease

Oh Caleb, you've got a heart like a classic

Taking the rust and turning it to magic

Restoring old cars, bringing them to life

With a sense of humor cutting through the strife

You give your love freely, every single day

And I miss you, more than I can say

Every engine you fix, every person you cheer

Reminds me of why I hold you so dear

You pour out your spirit, you give it all away

I'm counting down the minutes till I see you someday

Oh Caleb, you've got a heart like a classic

Taking the rust and turning it to magic

Restoring old cars, bringing them to life

With a sense of humor cutting through the strife

You give your love freely, every single day

My grandson, I miss you more than I can say

Yeah, I miss you more than I can say
