Wallace

I remember the moment the room faded out

We locked eyes and erased every shadow of doubt

It wasn't just looking, it went deeper than sight

Our souls touched each other and stepped in the light

Wallace, God knew what my spirit would need

A love that is planted from heavenly seed

You mean the world to me, my answered prayer

I see the Lord's goodness in the love that we share

I pray for our future, for the grace He will send

For a lifetime of adventures that never will end

I pray for more seasons, just you and me

Each one even better than the last could be

When the valleys were deep and the heavy winds blew

We held onto faith and we made it right through

We never surrender, we never let go

Your words always push me and help me to grow

You're so motivated, so grounded and pure

In times of deep trouble, our anchor is sure

You mean the world to me, my answered prayer

I see the Lord's goodness in the love that we share

I pray for our future, for the grace He will send

For a lifetime of adventures that never will end

I pray for more seasons, just you and me

Each one even better than the last could be

I lift up my hands and I thank Him above

For a man who is wrapped in His spiritual love

More chapters to write, more mountains to climb

I'm trusting His promise, one day at a time

With you by my side, I am perfectly blessed

Believing tomorrow outshines all the rest

You mean the world to me, my answered prayer

I see the Lord's goodness in the love that we share

I pray for our future, for the grace He will send

For a lifetime of adventures that never will end

I pray for more seasons, just you and me

Each one even better than the last could be

Yes, each one even better, for Wallace and me
